Albacore Tuna Fillet

Description

Albacore Tuna is caught off of the Pacific Coast from July to September. These fish are about 15 lbs and gain weight as they travel through Oregon, Washington, Canada, and Alaska. Once adult, they reach around 40 lbs and head west towards the waters of the South Pacific (Hawaii, Tahiti, Marshall Island, etc…) where they spawn. The Albacore Tuna is frozen aboard a large fishing vessel, where modern technology has enabled processors to cut the fish while frozen. This results in an amazing, skin-off, and bone-free fillet of albacore tuna, frozen fresh at sea.

Tuna is a very versatile fish, lending itself to grilling, broiling, poaching, or pan-frying. With leftovers, you can make tuna salad for your sandwich the next day. Caution is advised, as this fish is very easy to overcook. Approximately one pound.
